Sweetman’s Farm takes great pride in raising their grass-fed beef cattle and offering their customers the highest quality meat. We have over 35 years of experience raising healthy cattle. Each of our farms Black Angus and Black Hereford cattle are born and raised on the farm. Both of these cattle breeds are extremely hardy and able to thrive in many conditions with low maintenance; this is especially important during the cold New York winter months. These cattle roam our farm pastures eating the lush green nutrient rich grass that Warwick NY has to offer. These cattle are never exposed to any chemicals or growth hormones.
All of the Sweetman’s Farm grass-fed cattle are processed at the same USDA certified facility. The beef is dry aged for 21 days which is an important process for tenderizing the beef . The beef is then cut and carefully vacuum sealed. Vacuum packaging protects the beef from bacteria and extends the storage life expectancy of the meat. The vacuum sealing process uses only BPA free packaging. This process flash freezes the meat and preserves the nutrients that are concentrated by the dry-aging process. All of this just simply means that you are enjoying nutrient rich and flavorful meat.
Grass-fed beef has many nutritional values when compared to its conventional counterpart: this includes antioxidants, vitamins, and a beneficial fat called conjugated linoleic acid (CLA).
In several studies this fat has been tied to improved immunity and increased weight loss. Plus, grass-fed beef packs about 50% more omega-3 fatty acids than standard beef. This is a healthy fat that provides many powerful health benefits for your body and brain.
